Instance Walkthrough
1st Phase
- Talk to Varmundt to trigger the start of the instance.
- Walk north and talk to Heinrich to trigger a cutscene. During the dialogue, several Corrupted Abysmal Knight and Suffering Khalitzburg will spawn near the center — you can move away or clear them yourself; either way, Heinrich will eliminate them after a few seconds.
- Move to the left side of the map and wait for a portal to appear.
2nd Phase
- Eliminate as many enemies as possible until the system announces to look for survivors.
- Talk to Altar Boy Domun to open the east portal.
3rd Phase: Maggots
- Eliminate enemies until the system announces to look for survivors.
- Warning: Decomposed bodies summon large numbers of Maggots that can kill even well-equipped characters. However, Maggots can drop Coagulated Spell, so engaging them can be worthwhile if you're confident.
- Talk to Holgren the Destroyer to trigger the next portal.
4th Phase: Raydrics
- Eliminate enemies and advance toward the central-north part of the map.
- Warning: Corrupted Palace Guard uses Magnum Break, so be mindful of your armor element (Undead/Evil Druid). Wandering Archer uses Arrow Repel, Shadow Attack, and Double Strafe, and hits hard.
- Suggestions: Shadow-property armor (can be carded with Bathory Card) reduces Shadow Attack damage; against Magnum Break, Shadow armor is safer than Undead armor since fire deals no bonus damage to Shadow element. Anti-knockback gear is also useful: Antonio's Coat [1], Etran's Undershirt [1], RSX-0806 Card, Strong Shield [1].
- The first boss is Corrupted Soul: immobile but has dangerous skills (Sonic Blow, Hell's Judgement, Dark Soul Strike). Evil Druid Card armor grants immunity to Stone Curse and Dark Soul Strike. The only Demon-race monster in the instance.
- Important: All party members must stay alive for the kill count to register. After killing Corrupted Soul, talk to Varmundt to receive rewards (Temporal Crystal, Coagulated Spell) — skipping this before finishing the instance can trigger a bug that locks you out of the treasure room.
- A portal will appear north of Corrupted Soul's spawn point, leading to the 2nd floor.
5th Phase: Commanders
- Walk north and talk to the NPC, then wait for two portals (east and west) to activate. Enter either one and clear mobs until the "Evil Forces are appearing" notification. Defeat 1st Commander of Destruction and 2nd Commander of Destruction, then return and head north through the final portal.
- Warning: Most monsters on the 2nd floor are boss-type, so Hiding-based tactics are less useful. They deal heavy fire damage via Magnum Break and Meteor Storm.
- Suggestions: Use Resist Fire potions to reduce fire damage; if needed, use fire-resistant armor (Lucius's Fierce Armor of Volcano,
