Water Garden is an instance dungeon located in Ba Maison, part of Episode 17.2. Clear five garden sections and face the Papilla MVP to complete the instance.

Quests

To take the daily instance quest, talk to Sayhu at (ba_maison 239, 47).

There are three daily quests available:

Silva Papilla Hunt (Easy Mode)
Grand Papilla Hunt (Hard Mode)
Whereabouts of the Gardener (either mode)

Walkthrough

To start the instance, talk to Harad at (ba_maison 239, 47), standing next to Sayhu.

The instance (both Easy and Hard Mode) revolves around clearing all monsters inside. Watch out for a few dangerous mechanics that can kill an unprepared adventurer.

The instance is divided into 5 sections:

Leaf Bombing
You'll repeatedly be teleported onto one of several huge leaves. A few seconds later, an unkillable Papilla spawns on that spot and begins casting a Comet-like spell. Walk away from the leaf to avoid getting hit. Clearing all other monsters in the section opens a warp to the right.
Chess
This section is laid out like a 6x6 chessboard, with 3 unkillable Papillas repeatedly spawning on 3 of the squares. Five seconds after spawning, each casts a dangerous Earth Drive in specific directions from its square, then disappears and respawns roughly 20 seconds later — this repeats until all are killed.
- Red Papillas act like a Rook — Earth Drive hits horizontally and vertically only.
- Blue Papillas act like a Bishop — Earth Drive hits diagonally only.
Stand on a square none of the active Papillas can hit, the same way you'd dodge a chess piece's attack line. Kill all monsters to proceed.
Stroll
A garden corridor that spawns groups of monsters every few cells. Clear them all and talk to the Gardener at the end of the corridor.
Maze
A maze section with several Gardener NPCs scattered around — talking to them completes the daily quest. Kill all monsters in the maze, then take the warp in the top-left to proceed.
Boss Temple
The final section, where you face the boss. The fight cycles in two parts:
- The MVP spawns 1 Ruba Papilla and 1 Cae Papilla.
- Drag the Ruba Papilla onto the red energy and the Cae Papilla onto the blue energy.
- Failing to pull a Papilla into its energy teleports you to one side of the map and drops you to 1 HP. A poisonous cloud with an unkillable monster then starts hitting you — heal up or move away quickly, then return to the boss and continue fighting.
Defeating the MVP and talking to the Gardener completes the instance.

Note: Ruba and Cae Papillas can be farmed by simply waiting, since the boss respawns them infinitely.

Talk to Sayhu to collect your daily quest rewards.
