17.2 Episode Equipment Automatic Gear
To get and start enchanting those items, you must first complete the Gaining access to Varmundt's Mansion quest.
All the NPCs relating to Automatic Equipment can be found in the restaurant building of Varmundt's Mansion, at (ba_in01 79, 379).
Refinement Cubes
You can upgrade Illusion and Automatic gear directly from +4 to +9/11 with the use of the following items available on Cubrain:
Illusion Reinforcement Cube (100251) - Illusion Gear, 5,000,000 zeny per cube
Automatic Reinforcement Cube (100252) - Automatic Gear, 30,000,000 zeny per cube

Automatic gear can be obtain by trading
Varmeal Ticket (1000103) with the corresponding Illusion Armors (17.1).

Automatic Enchants
The Automatic equipments can be enchanted by using Automatic Modules, given by Yecheong (ba_in01 87, 380).
They are divided into 5 categories.
The regular modules (Normal, Rare, Unique, Legendary) are obtained from two different methods:
- You can exchange 90
Varmeal Ticket with Yecheong (ba_in01 87, 380). - An
Automatic Module Box, which is a low chance reward of the Second Security Area instance.
The Epic Modules are obtained from two different methods:
- You can exchange 50
Magical Soapstone with Spiera (ba_in01 87, 373).
The Magical Soapstones are obtained as a potential reward of the Second Security Area instance or by exchanging 350Varmeal Ticket with Yecheong (ba_in01 87, 380).
- An
Epic Module Box, which is a low chance reward of the Second Security Area instance.
To apply the Automatic Modules, equip the Automatic armor and then speak with Liza (ba_in01 87, 370). The enchanting process consumes the Automatic Module and never fails.
Every Automatic equipment can receive up to 3 modifications, but each Module type can only be applied a certain number of times (check Max Count on the table below for each enchant), depending of the equipment piece.
Be aware that:
- You can have up to 3 Epic Enchants in the Automatic Armor, up to 2 of the same enchant. So it's either 3 different Epic Enchants, or 2 of the same and 1 different.
- You can have up to 3 different/unique Legendary Enchants in the Automatic Leg. This means that none of them can be repeated.
